01 Jan Headaches
According to the WHO (World Health Organisation)
Half to three quarters of adults aged 18–65 years in the world have had headache in the last year.
There are many causes, some pain we actually create ourselves from bad diet, skipped meals, alcohol, inconsistent sleep, our work environment or stress. There can also be underlying health conditions, if you find your headaches are more frequent and include other symptoms such as stiff neck, confusion, decreased alertness or memory, or neurological symptoms such as visual disturbances, slurred speech, weakness, numbness, or seizures it is important to speak to your GP.
Migraines
Migraines often begin in the evening or during sleep. In some people, the attacks are preceded by several hours of fatigue, depression, and sluggishness or by irritability and restlessness. Because migraine symptoms vary widely, at least half of all migraine sufferers think they have sinus or tension headaches, not migraines.
If you suffer from Migraines, it is important to limit stress and investigate your diet and lifestyle. Certain triggers can cause pain such as missed meals, stress, sleep, diet such as aged cheese, alcohol, cured meats.
